Frequently asked questions
What are wearables?
These are passive wearable devices without a battery, such as rings, bracelets, pendants, etc., that contain an NFC chip and antenna. You upload a digitised payment card to the device using an app from the manufacturer.
How are wearables different from paying with Apple / Google / Garmin / Xiaomi devices?
Wearables are so-called passive devices. Just like, for example, contactless cards. They don't have a display, a fingerprint reader or anything else that can be used to confirm payments. In the Czech Republic, you can therefore make purchases with them without a PIN for a maximum of CZK 500. If you pay more than that, you have to enter your card PIN. Sometimes the terminal will ask you to enter your PIN even for a small payment. This is to verify the identity of the payer to prevent misuse of payments.
Are payments with wearables secure?
Yes. Your card number is not stored anywhere on your device and the merchant you make the purchase with will never know it either.
What wearables do CSOB devices support?
At CSOB, we currently support wearable devices that include Digiseq technology. These include rings and bracelets from Niceboy.

What is the limit set on the digital card on my mobile phone?
The limit for payments at merchants is the same as on plastic cards.
Do I need to be connected to the internet to pay?
No, you do not need to be connected to the internet to pay, the device does not need to be connected to your mobile phone. However, if you want to digitize the card or remove the digitized card, the device must be connected to the internet/mobile.
Do I need to have internet payments enabled on my card?
You do not need to have internet payments enabled to pay in shops and withdraw from ATMs. However, for a smooth setup of Niceboy Pay, it is advisable to have internet payments enabled on your card.
How much does it cost to use wearables?
Digitizing your card into Niceboy Pay is free.
The fees for paying/withdrawing with a card digitized in wearables are the same as the fees for paying/withdrawing with a plastic card.
What to do if you lose your device
- Call 495 800 111 for blocking. For more tips, visit www.csob.cz/lostcard.
- On your mobile phone, in the Niceboy Pay app settings, remove the digitised payment card
Note: The token remains available on the wearable device as it can only be deleted from the device when it syncs with the wallet provider's app. However, if the token has been deleted, transactions will be declined.
Can I still use my plastic credit or debit cards if I suspend or remove them in wearables?
When you remove your digital cards on a wearable device, the device account number associated with your device will also be removed. If you would like to use the card again on your device, you must re-digitize it.
If the digital card is suspended or removed, you can still use the plastic card.
Conversely, if you block your plastic card, all digital cards for that plastic card will automatically be blocked as well.
Where can I see my transactions?
You can find all card payments (both with paste and digital cards) clearly in Smarts or Internet Banking or in your statement.
What should I do if my credit card expires?
If a plastic payment card expires, all its digital cards are automatically blocked as well.
If your bank automatically issues you a new payment card, once you activate it, your digital cards will automatically renew.
Therefore, if you activate the new card before the original card expires, there will be no interruption in the validity of the digital cards.
