What you need for Xiaomi Pay
- Compatible device with NFC support (e.g. Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6+7 NFC smart band and other)
- The Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear) app (formerly Zepp Life or Xiaomi Mi Fit), which you can download for free from z Google Play or App Store (it is used to connect your mobile phone with the smart band)
- ČSOB Smart Key app is required to confirm the digitisation of a card
- For mobile payments you can use any Mastercard or Visa payment card from ČSOB or Postal Savings Bank (Poštovní spořitelna) and minimum age 13 years. Xiaomi Pay does not support so-called meal vouchers payment cards.

What is an NFC chip?
- NFC (Near-Field Communication) is a technology that enables the rapid exchange of data over short distances
- Thanks to the NFC chip, we can pay contactlessly
Is this service secure?
- When you make NFC payments in shops, your card is encrypted with a one-time code that contains no personal information; the merchant will not know your card number
- Unlike a credit card, the device is also protected by a screen lock (6-digit PIN), so only you can pay with it
Where can I find an overview of payments made with Xiaomi Pay?
- You can find all card payments (both plastic and digital in Xiaomi Pay) in Internet banking, in the CSOB Smart app and in the statement
- In the Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear) app (formerly Zepp Life or Xiaomi Mi Fit), you will see the last few transactions with the selected card on the respective device
Can I pay abroad with Xiaomi Pay?
- Yes, your Xiaomi Pay device acts as a standard payment card
Do I have to be online when I pay?
- No, you don't need the internet to pay
- However, you need data connection if you want to view transactions, digitize your card, or remove your digitized card
Do I need to have my device connected to my phone when making a payment?
- No, you do not need to have your phone on you when you pay
- You only need your phone if you are changing settings (e.g. 6-digit PIN, digitising a card or removing a digitised/tokenised card)
Is this service free?
- Xiaomi Pay is free
- Contactless payment and ATM withdrawal fees are the same as plastic card fees
- However, contactless payments are always free
Can I add multiple cards to my device?
- Yes, you can add more cards to Xiaomi Pay, up to a maximum of 8
- You can digitise one physical/plastic card repeatedly and to different devices
- You can have up to 10 digital cards to one plastic card at a time
What is the set limit on the digital card in the device?
- The limit for payments at merchants is the same as on the plastic card
Can I continue to use my plastic cards if I remove them within Xiaomi Pay?
- Yes, however, if you block your plastic card, it will automatically be blocked in Xiaomi Pay
What should I do if I lose my device?
- If you lose your Xiaomi Pay device, you can remove the digital card from Xiaomi Pay in the Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear) app (formerly Zepp Life or Xiaomi Mi Fit)

What if I forget my PIN to unlock my device?
- If you don't remember your PIN, you can change it in the Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear) app (formerly Zepp Life or Xiaomi Mi Fit) or reset the device to factory settings
Is there some card misuse security protection?
- To pay with the Xiaomi Pay device, you must first unlock it with a 6-digit PIN
- The device is unlocked for a maximum of 24 hours or until the next time you take it off (heart rate monitoring is interrupted - the removal from your hand is recorded)
Where can I use Xiaomi Pay?
- The Xiaomi Pay device can be used to pay in all shops with contactless terminals, which are almost all in the Czech Republic and many abroad
- You can withdraw from a contactless ATM - ČSOB alone has over 650 of them in the Czech Republic (find the nearest one in the overview map)
What should I do if my payment card expires?
- If a plastic payment card expires, all digital cards are automatically blocked.
- However, once you activate a renewed card (with extended validity), its digital cards will automatically be renewed as well
- Activate the new card before the original card expires to avoid interruption of validity
- If the type of the new card changes (e.g. from Mastercard to Visa and vice versa), it needs to be digitized again into the smart band
Is there a problem with your card when uploading to Xiaomi Pay?
- Card may be invalid or not activated
- Card may not be supported for Xiaomi Pay (both Mastercard and Visa are supported)
- It is possible that the card is about to expire
- The card cannot be digitised if you are under 13 years old
Can I use my smart band to pay at the Czech Post Office?
- At the Czech Post Office, you can use Xiaomi Pay to pay for common goods and services (stamps, envelopes, postage, etc.) as you would in a store
- However, you cannot use Xiaomi Pay to make transactions specific to the Czech Post, such as deposits to your account, withdrawals from your account, payment orders, payment of bank notes, etc.
Can I deposit cash into a deposit machine using a digitized card?
- Unfortunately, this transaction can only be made with a plastic card
Can Visa and Mastercard be used in all Xiaomi smart bands?
- In the Mi Fitness app, you can pair the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 7 NFC with both Visa and Mastercard. The older type Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 NFC can only be paired with Mastercard in this app.
- When using the Zepp Life app, both supported types of bands (Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6+7 NFC) can only be paired with Mastercard.
